4. Kaoruko Pilkington will be the performer Saturday, 7 p.m., at the Cultural Arts Alliance Field, 98 Hayden Rowe St., for Jazz at Sunset.

The Downtown Initiative Steering Committee meets tonight at 7 in the Fire Station Training Room, 73 Main St. The committee's charge is to improve the area from Ash and East Main streets to Wood and West Main Streets. Traffic, of course, is the big issue. Stop by, see what's happening, and make your thoughts on that area known.
