Baypath Humane Society Hosts Free Educational Seminar on Understanding Pet Food Labels

A local non-profit animal shelter will host a free event to help pet owners understand the nutrition labels on pet food.

Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton invites the community to attend a free educational seminar on “Reading and Understanding Pet Food Labels: The Myths, The Marketing, The Facts”. The event – led by Dr. Amy Karls, Veterinarian and Baypath Board Member - will take place on Sunday, April 24th at 10:00am at the Baypath facility. The seminar will answer common questions of many pet owners such as: Should my pet be eating a grain-free food? Are natural pet foods better? How do I decide which food is best for my pet?

“Our upcoming seminar on Pet Food Labels is the latest in a series of events sponsored by Baypath to help educate the greater Hopkinton community on important and relevant topics related to animal welfare,” said Community Outreach Chair Kristin Sahagian. “We believe that humane education is a natural complement to our other services – including our partnership with the Hopkinton Animal Control Officer, the rescue of abandoned animals posing a risk to residents and canine evaluations for town & local areas.”
