Brush and Leaf Disposal Hours Extended

Due to the extra amount of trees and leaves that have fallen this week in the storm, The Hopkinton Recycling center will be extending their hours.

The recycling center, located on Wood St. at the Hopkinton / Westborough town line will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Saturday. Sunday hours will be noon to 4 p.m.

A release from John Westerling, director of the Hopkinton Department of Public Works, outlined the following restrictions.

This is for Hopkinton residents only who are disposing residential leaf and brush.

No commercial vehicles will be allowed to dump.

All bags must be emptied; no bag disposal will be permitted.

The maximum brush size: 6-inch diameter, 6-foot length and no large stumps will be permitted.
