Center School Holds Art Show and Book Fair

Thursday after school into early evening, crowds of children and parents checked out the Book Fair at Center School.

Children in the first grade also had paintings displayed on the walls around the Book Fair. The paintings were on the themes of carnivals, summer and fun, art teacher Stacery Avril said - ther same them as the book fair.

Avril teaches first-grade art. She said the techniques she emphasized with her classes is brining the blue sky all the way down to the ground and details, details, details!

"If there's one thing I hope they learn it's to get details into their paintings," she said,
