Democrats to Host Forum

Metrowest Immigration Forum: A Call to Action

A coalition of 7 area Democratic Town Committees will co-host the MetroWest Immigration Forum: A Call to Action on Saturday, April 29. The forum will take place from noon-2:00 pm at Heritage, Framingham Senior Living Center, 747 Water St.

The event will bring together grassroots organizations, political activists and interested citizens to discuss what’s happening in immigrant communities as they begin to deal with the policies of the new administration. Attendees will also learn about ways individuals can get involved with the community organizations that serve immigrant and refugee communities in MetroWest.

Julie Gordon from the Natick DTC and one of the organizers said, "I know so many people who, like me, are upset by the planned immigration/refugee practices of this new administration. They are energized by the marches and protests, but don't know where to go to take the next step. I wanted to do something concrete to connect those people with the information and resources they need to act, to be able to help the immigrant/refugee communities."
