Police are investigating a two-car crash that claimed the life of a New Hampshire man. According to Massachusetts State Police, at 6:06 a.m., troopers responded to the crash on Route 495 in Hopkinton. Police say that a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Marcel E. Masse, 53, of Lancaster, NH, hit the rear of a 2000 Volvo truck driven by a 56-year-old Norton man. The impact of the crash, which happened in the travel lane, entrapped Masse. Masse was extricated from the Hopkinton Fire Department and transported to Framingham Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The truck was traveling at a relatively slow speed when struck, say police. The crash is still under investigation. The right lane and breakdown lane near the crash scene were closed until shortly before 10:30 a.m.
