Victim ID'd in Fatal 495 Crash on New Year's Day
The vehicle was broken into pieces in Hopkinton.

A man in a serious crash Sunday morning on Route 495 succumbed to his injuries, State Police said.
Police responded this morning to reports of a single-vehicle crash on 495 North in Hopkinton at approximately 9 a.m. They discovered a 2008 Chrysler Sebring that had crashed and broken into pieces.
The driver, 31-year-old Todd Reed of Southbridge, was trapped inside the front of the vehicle with life-threatening injuries. He was extricated by Hopkinton and Milton Fire Departments, police said.

A medical helicopter arrived but the man was not able to be stablized for his injuries. He was driven to Milford Hpspital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said speed looks to have been a factor.
