HOLLISTON, MA — A fire destroyed a single-family home in Holliston along Washington Street early Monday morning, according to reports.
The fire broke out just before 9 a.m. at 1004 Washington St. (Route 126). The home collapsed onto its side during the fire, but every person in the home made it out safely, according to the Boston Herald. One person was treated for smoke inhalation.
Almost one year ago, a fire at a home along Winter Street killed a 77-year-old woman and the more than 15 dogs that were living there. A space heater was the likely culprit in starting that fire, the state Fire Marshal found.
