Free Yoga for Veterans and First Responders
Yoga at the Ashram Offers Free Yoga for the Month of November

Throughout November, Yoga at the Ashram is pleased to be offering FREE yoga classes to veterans, first responders and their families in honor of Veteran’s Day.
Yoga at the Ashram offers a full schedule of daily yoga classes for all levels. The numerous benefits of practicing yoga include relaxation, stress reduction, increased strength and flexibility and improved energy levels, among many others. Studies have shown that yoga and meditation can dramatically decrease the negative effects often associated with trauma from high stress occupations.“This month we are excited to be offering free daily yoga classes to all veterans and first responders and their families. There’s no need to preregister, just check the schedule online, and show up and join us. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat or use one of ours,” said Dr. Hari Kirin Kaur Khalsa, MD, Director of Yoga at the Ashram, “Kundalini Yoga is a fast-working form of yoga and meditation for people with busy lives. Even a once per week practice can ground and rebalance us during high-demand times.
“As a physician, I’ve worked side by side with first responders and hold them in the utmost esteem for the work they do. As the daughter of a Korean War Veteran and the niece of two WWII vets, our military families are held close in my heart at all times. We are honored to give back and expressing gratitude for their service.”
