Golf Club for middle schoolers starts April 5th at Pinecrest

The Holliston Youth Golf Club provides an opportunity for middle school golfers with any level of experience to enjoy the sport of golf. Members will learn in a fun, instructional environment on the driving range, putting green and the course. Members of the Holliston High School Golf Team, led by head coach Trevor Pennypacker, provide group instruction to the Club. Average member to coach ratio is 4 to 1

Spring 2016 Dates: Tuesdays, 8 weeks starting April 5th and ending on May 31st. Each week the golfers alternate between instruction on the range and putting green, and instruction on the course.

Registration=$150: Includes 1 large bucket of balls on Driving Range/Putting Green days, 9 holes of golf on Course Days, and group instruction. Golfers must provide their own clubs or make rental arrangements. Rate assumes a certain number of golfers per day. Rate may vary slightly depending upon sign up.

Driving Range/Putting Green Days: Golfers will practice with a large bucket of balls on the driving range. Golfers will also practice chipping and putting on the putting green. Golfers will be given group instruction by the HHS Golf team coaches.

Course Days: Golfers will play 9 holes in groups of 4 maximum, with a HHS Golf team coach.

Transportation: Please arrange for your golfer and clubs to arrive at Pinecrest by 2:15.

Time: 2:15pm – 3:45pm for Driving Range/Putting Green days. 2:15pm – 4:15pm for Course days. End time on course days may vary slightly based on speed of play. Please pick up your golfer near the putting green in front of the Clubhouse.

Attire: Golfers must wear a collared shirt. Golf shoes are not required. Sneakers are fine.

Course Etiquette: Golfers will be instructed on course etiquette, rules, safety and good sportsmanship by the coaches. All golfers will be expected to respect the coaches, etiquette rules, and rules of Pinecrest while golfing with the Holliston Youth Golf Club.

What To Bring: Clubs & your golfer’s needs: water, bug repellant, sunscreen, a hat, a snack and drink, or money to purchase snacks and drinks. Refreshments are available at Pinecrest Clubhouse and at Anthony’s On the Green.

Cancelations: Families will be notified of cancelations as soon as possible. Registration money will not be refunded, but will be used to try and give the golfers another day to play, an alternate activity for the golfers, or scholarships.
