Holliston Man Arrested In Rush To Save Dog's Life
Police chased Peter Rogaishio as he sped and illegally passed other cars to get his dog, Thor, to the animal hospital.
HOLLISTON, MA – A Holliston man prepared to go to jail for his dog caught the attention of police as he made a mad dash to save the animal's life. Peter Rogaishio was arrested for speeding and illegally passing other cars Thursday as he rushed his family's doberman, Thor, to the hospital, according to Boston 25. Thor had been hit by two cars and was lying by the side of the road, bleeding.
Rogaishio told Boston 25 he "wasn't even thinking" as he put Thor into his car and sped to the hospital. He was soon pursued by a Natick police officer, who chased him for more than a mile, the network reported.
Police stopped Rogaishio at a roadblock on Hartford Street. When they saw Thor bleeding in the back seat, they took him to the hospital and took Rogaishio to jail.
