Holliston Man Charged with 4th OUI

Milford, MA - A Holliston man was arrested in Milford early Wednesday morning for allegedly driving drunk.
Thomas McColgan, 57, was charged with his fourth drunken driving offense, marked lanes violation, red light violation, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a Class E drug with intent to distribute, and larceny over $250 according to the Massachusetts State Police.
At about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, a state trooper on Route 109 observed a 2005 green GMC Sierra traveling in an erratic manner before stopping the vehicle on Route 109 at the intersection of James Street.

During the traffic stop, police determined that McColgan was driving under the influence of liquor and numerous prescription medications not prescribed to him were located in the vehicle, according to state police.
McColgan was transported to the Millbury Barracks where he was booked and held. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Milford District Court.
