Holliston Man Indicted For Stolen AK-47, Handgun: DA

The DA's office announced indictments handed down between June 1 and July 20.

HOLLISTON, MA – Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced on Monday indictments handed down between June 1 and July 20. Among them, a Holliston man charged with stealing two of his brother's guns and trading at least one for heroin.

David Hunt, 29, is charged with assault and battery, larceny of a firearm, and carrying a firearm. The Assistant District Attorney is Terence Kiernan. According to Wicked Local, Hunt's brother accused him of stealing a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson and an AK-47, which Hunt's brother legally owned.

Prosecutors said Hunt admitted to stealing the handgun. He then allegedly sold it at a motel in Natick for $100, according to records cited by Wicked Local.

Hunt is also charged with assaulting his mother in an unrelated incident during which he threw her onto a bed when she tried to calm him down.
