Hopkinton To Host Meeting On I-495/Pike Interchange Proposal
MassDOT is currently examining possible improvements to the high volume roadway.

HOPKINTON, MA – MassDOT will host two public meetings this month about the proposed I-495/I-90 Interchange Improvement Project in Hopkinton, Westborough and Southborough. Residents will have the opportunity to learn about the background and current status of the project, as well as provide comment.
The first meeting will be held Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at Hopkinton Middle School, 88 Hayden Rowe St. The second will take place at Westborough Town Hall, 34 West Main St. the following day at 7 p.m.
MassDOT's next steps are selecting a preferred alternate design for the interchange, completing design work and environmental analysis and permitting. The agency will seek community input throughout these phases.

Previous work includes a one-year study on potential changes to the interchange as well as environmental notifications, coordination with state, local, and federal stakeholders, ground surveying, and traffic data collection.
The interchange between highways I-495 and the Mass. Pike is a high volume area for freight and commuter traffic.
