Hopkinton Man's Firm Protects NH GOP Debate

When candidates meet in Manchester Monday night, Security Devices Inc. will safeguard venue.

Hopkinton resident Michael White's company, Security Detection Inc., has been contracted to provide security screening equipment at the upcoming Republican Presidential debate on Monday, June 13, in New Hampshire.

Seven presidential contenders will take the stage on the campus of St. Anselm College

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann from Minnesota's 6th District; Georgia businessman and talk-show host Herman Cain; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich; U.S. Rep. Ron Paul from the 14th District in Texas; former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty; former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney; and former U.S. Sen. from Pennsylvania, Rick Santorum will take part in the debate.

White's company provides x-ray machines, handheld security wands and walk-through metal detectors that will help secure St. Anselm's from people bringing in weapons or items that would threaten the safety of the candidates or the audience.

Security Devices Inc has been in business for two decades. Besides providing security at colleges and universities, it also protects entry into gigantic venues such as the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star Game and Universal Studios in Orlando; provides event security for world leaders and dignitaries such as the Dalai Lama; and has installed security for the United Nations in two of the world’s most dangerous cities, Monrovia, Liberia and Juba, southern Sudan.
