Hopkinton Residents Raise Cash for Project Bread

BOSTON, May 1 - Inspiring other walkers with his banana costume, Matt Elliot teamed up with Tai Martire to participate in Project Bread’s 43rd Annual Walk for Hunger.

The two were members of the Hopkinton Middle School team.

They joined 42,000 walkers and volunteers to help raise $3.6 million for 446 emergency food programs across Massachusetts oin May 1.

The money will buy food for families in need next winter.

 Beth St. George, Stacy Place and Andy Frey of Hopkinton High School were also participated in the Walk for Hunger on a sunny Sunday in Boston.
St. George, Place, Frey Martire and Elliot were joined by Hopkinton's  Sole Sisters at the walk.

Hopkinton's Lorita Copley walked with Gina Driscoll of Milford, Dianne Goodrich of Gorham, ME, Maureen Pycko of Hopedale and Denise Tetreault of Walpole.
