It's Summertime - Don't Make the Break-Ins Easy

Tuesday, June 28, 3:22 a.m.

Officer Moran took a person with a disabled motor vehicle from Rte. 495 to West Main Street. Ted’s Towing was on its way to get the vehicle.

7:52 a.m.  - Main Street crash with one of the operators complaining of injury. Officers Griffin, Buckley, O’Neil and Lt. Wallace responded. The injured person was taken to a hospital.

8:57 a.m. – Officer Buckley made a scheduled ammunition pickup on Holt Street.

9:28 – Officer O’Neil directed traffic around DPW workers flushing hydrants on West Main Street.

10:35 – Officer Buckley helped a resident at the police station properly install an infant car seat.

10:39 – Officer Shane took a report from a Priscilla Road resident who said a car was broken into overnight.

12:42 p.m. – Officers Griffin and Buckley checked a report of suspicious operation of a motor vehicle on Grove Street but did not find the vehicle.

12:54 – Officer Buckley checked a report of multiple vehicles parked in the road on Front Street. He spoke to the people and they moved the vehicles.

1:21 – A walk-in to the station reported his car was broken into and robbed overnight on Gassett Road.

4:48 - Officer Booth assisted Mass. State Police and an ambulance on Rte. 495 after an accident. An injured person was taken to UMass Hospital in Worcester.

6:17 – A caller reported her vehicle on Old Farm Road was broken into overnight and items were stolen. Officer Burchard took her report.

6:35 – A Wood Steet resident reported his generator was stolen.  Sgt. Sutton went to the man’s house and took a report.

7:40 p.m. – A Meserve Street caller said there was a group of people at an abandoned house. Sgt. Sutton and Officer Booth responded and found the owners doing work on their property.

8:35 – A Hayden Rowe Street resident called the station to say vehicles were parked on the side of the road. Officer Booth responded and determined that the vehicles weren’t impeding traffic.
