His career numbers are oustanding, making him one of the best to don the Panther uniform. Mayo passed for 5,455 yards and 48 touchdowns in his three years as a starter, during which he had a record of 28-8.

The last two seasons were especially rewarding as he went 24-2 with two Tri-Valley League titles and the aformentioned Super Bowl crown. He was twice named a Boston Globe First Team All-Scholastic and was a Boston Herald All-Scholastic in 2010.

As a junior, he threw for 2,010 yards and 19 TDs, while rushing for another 276 yards and seven scores out of the Panthers' spread offense. As a result, the righthander landed on the TVL All-Star team and was named the team's MVP.

In 2010, he went for 1,772 yards and 21 TDs through the air, while piling up 532 yards and 11 TDs on the ground. The Panther captain was picked as the TVL's Offensive Player of the Year and the Division 3A MVP and was a Fox 25 State Player of the Year finalist.

After graduating with honors last month, Mayo is now prepared to take his talents to the next level. Mayo signed his Letter of Intent to play football for Assumption College in February, and while he appears primed and ready to face this next challenge, it’s also a safe bet that he won’t be forgetting his incredible, formative experience as a Panther any time soon.
