Over $100K Worth Of Ecstasy Seized In Hopkinton
Police recovered over a kilogram of MDMA, amounting to about 5,000 doses, this week.

HOPKINTON, MA – Over $100,000 worth of MDMA was seized in Hopkinton Wednesday, the police department announced this week. The amount recovered is equal to over a kilogram, or about 5,000 doses of the drug.
So far police have not charged anyone in connection with the seizure, according to Wicked Local. They are remaining mum on specifics about the investigation, as the case involves multiple jurisdictions, the site reported.
MDMA, also known as "ecstasy" or "Molly," is a psychoactive drug often associated with young people and commonly used at raves or dance parties, according to police.

"The Hopkinton Police Department is proactive in its investigation of narcotic offenses and is proud to have significantly reduced the flow of MDMA to the Central Massachusetts/Metro-West area," police said.
The ongoing investigation is a collaboration between the Hopkinton and Franklin police departments, Homeland Security, the DEA and the United States Postal Inspectors Service.
