On Thursday in the foyer, the HHS Fine Arts Department presented Art Saves Lives!, a free exhibit featuring senior portfolios and other works by HHS, Middle and Elementary students. Besides the beautiful art work,  there were student music performances and culinary offerings. There were also "Arts Save Lives!" T-shirts for sale to commemorate the yearly event. You become a Dementia Friend by attending a free 90-minute information session to learn the five key messages about living with dementia and the simple things you can do to make your community a safer, supportive, and more inclusive place for people living with dementia and their care partners.
What Happens at the Information Session?
It’s an engaging and interactive discussion led by an experienced volunteer Dementia Friends Champion. You’ll learn what dementia is, the different types, what it’s like to live with it, tips for communicating with people with dementia, and about the extensive available resources and support for families and care partners.
