Police News: Driver loses it in Colella's Parking Lot

May 28, about 1 o'clock in the afternoon

Blueberry Lane resident is worried kids are going to get hit by a car driving mini-bikes and dirt-bikes too close to oncoming vehicles. Officer Powers talks to a kid and dad and they stop.

2 p.m. - Callers say man in pickup at Colella's parking lot has lost his temper and is screaming. Woman comes to station to report that he threatened her. Officers Buckley and Powers respond, bring man to station. He receives a court summons.

3:45 - Mass. State Police report two dogs loose on the Turnpike just past 495 ramp. Animal Control responds.

9:22 - Officer Burchard comes across a disabled motor vehicle on Saddle Hill Road.Driver says dad and Triple-A on the way.

May 29, 12:45 a.m.

Call meant for Milford PD comes in. Gray sedan weaving on Rte. 85 near Sherwin-Williams. Caller has partial plate. Officer Campbell, Milford PD check but the car is gone.

1:45 a.m. - Officers Campbell and Moran check report of loud party breaking up on Schofield Road. They find it quiet, say it may have been fishermen returning from a trip and unloading their gear.

9:25 - West Elm Street resident reports vehicle was vandalized overnight.Officer Shane investigates.

11:20 - Resident reports a 30-foot tree, potential hazard to boats, floating just below the surface on Lake Maspenock. Environmental Police notified. Resident calls back 20 minutes later to report boaters have removed tree from water. EPD notified situation is OK.

1:37 - Attendant at Wood Street recycling center reports illegal dumping. Officer Shane checks it out.

2:45 - Motorist reports large rock in roadway at Hidden Brick Road. Officer Buckley checks but doesn't find the hazard.

5 p.m. - Walk-in at Police Station reports a missing beagle. Officer Proctor takes info and notifies Animal Control.

6:21 - Caller says dog is in hot parked car with windows rolled up on Walcott Street. Officer Higgins checks but doesn't see a car fitting the description.

6:41 - Caller reports transformer fire and small ground fire on Chestnut Street. Hopkinton Fire notified. Officer Higgins and Sgt. Sutton stand by at scene.

6:50 - Sewer pump alarms sound on South Street and Ash Street. Officer Brooks notifies Sewer Department.

9 p.m. - Caller reports on-going complaint of barking dog on Hillcrest Drive. Officers Higgins, Powers and Sgt. Sutton respond. Owner not home. They will advise Animal Control to follow-up.

9 p.m. - Grafton Police looking for a motor vehicle registered on Church Street in regard to a hit-and-run. Sgt. Sutton checks the address but doesn't find the vehicle. Will check back later.

9:47 -Officers Higgins, Powers and Sgt. Sutton ask a loud party on Oak Street to turn it down. Host complies.

10:24 - Westboro PD reports a struck deer on Wood Street. Officer Powers and Sgt. Sutton put down the deer. Animal Control notified.

May 30, 2 a.m.

Ashland Police request an infrared light to find a suspect in a domestic disturbance who fled into the woods.
