Talk About Horrible: Hopkinton's Perfect Parade

As someone who has seen the Natick Fourth of July Parade, the Framingham Flag Day Parade, The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Key West Christmas Parade, let me tell you the Hopkinton Horribles Parade is perfect.

Perfect length, perfectly wet, perfectly funny and most important, the perfect amount of candy - lots.

Plus, it goes in a circle so you get to see it twice.

That's doubly perfect, a condition that exists nowhere else in humanity or nature. Something is either perfect or not, and perfection can't be multiplied.

The Hopkinton Horribles Parade is in a realm of its own.

It was hot too, wasn't it? Perfect weather for everybody to squirt each other.

The slide show is accompanied by the words of Francis Scott Key, written in 1814 as "The Defence of Fort McHenry."

The first stanza is well known as the lyrics to "The Star Spangled Banner."
