Thousands Without Power In Holliston, Hopkinton
An especially heavy snow is causing power problems for the neighboring towns.

HOLLISTON-HOPKINTON, MA – An especially heavy snow in this newest nor'easter has caused power problems for multiple communities across the state, including Holliston and Hopkinton.
Holliston is suffering the brunt of the outages, with nearly 4,500 customers in the dark as of 7:30 a.m. That accounts for 71 percent of those served in town, according to MEMA. Meanwhile Hopkinton is seeing over 2,800 outages, marking 40 percent of those served.
More than 300,000 power customers were in the dark as of 1 a.m.., according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Patch will be updating power outages throughout Thursday, so check back often. Southern Worcester County and the Merrimack Valley are seeing the worst of it.
