Uno's Helps Western Mass. Storm Victims

10 percent of sales from all the chain's outlets through Friday go to Pioneer Valley Red Cross.

Uno Chicago Grill, which is based in Boston and has restaurants in Bellingham, Westborough, Wrentham and Framingham will donate 10 percent of the profits from all its restaurants from today through Friday, June 10, for victims of last week’s deadly tornadoes in western Massachusetts.

The money will go to the Pioneer Valley Red Cross to support the families in need, Uno said in a press release.

“We want to do what we can,” said Uno chief executive officer Frank Guidara, who like much of Uno's management team, lives in Massachusetts or nearby New England states. “This is home and we are helping family.”

“We are so grateful for Uno’s generosity,” Rick Lee of the Pioneer Valley Red Cross said in the release. “They jumped right in to help and we didn’t even have to ask."

Uno also delivered 280 free pizzas to victims and rescue workers immediately after last week's storm.
