• FEMA makes $17 million in funding available for New England communities to address flooding (bostonglobe.com) — Hull is in line for up to $1.1 million in FEMA funding to repair and strengthen shoreline protections along Harborview Road, a key step against worsening coastal flooding. The same program is backing similar seawall and flood projects in Scituate, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont, but Hull’s allocation is specifically aimed at shoring up vulnerable local infrastructure.

• Now former United States Post Office letter carrier in Massachusetts admits to failing to deliver over 14,000 pieces of mail (fallriverreporter.com) — A 29-year-old Hull resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to obstructing the mail after roughly 14,700 pieces, including passports and government checks, were found stored in a Weymouth locker instead of delivered. The undelivered items were tied to routes in several Boston neighborhoods, and sentencing for the former letter carrier will be set later.
