• Seawall repairs at stake after FEMA grant for Rockport is canceled (nbcboston.com) — Hull is one of several Massachusetts coastal towns whose FEMA-backed seawall and resilience projects may be in jeopardy after the agency abruptly canceled a major grant for Rockport’s Long Beach seawall. Local and state officials warn that if FEMA doesn’t reverse course, communities like Hull could lose long-promised federal money and even be forced to repay planning and engineering funds, shifting big costs onto local taxpayers.
