Alma G. Buckley-Packer, Formerly of JP, Dies at Age 86
Mother of four worked for the VFW and as an election warden
Alma G. (Sullivan) Buckley-Packer of Middleboro, formerly of Jamaica Plain, died on February 4 at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleboro, after a period of failing health. Mrs. Buckley-Packer was the wife of the late James W. Buckley and the late Robert Eugene Packer. She was 86.
Mrs. Buckley-Packer was born in Boston on January 30, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Eli and Elsie M. (Mitchell) Sullivan.
Mrs. Buckley-Packer worked as a meat wrapper for A & P Grocery Store and Capital Foods in Brockton until she was 83 years old. She was active in the V.F.W. Auxiliary and worked many years as an election warden in Middleboro. Mrs. Buckley-Packer enjoyed spending time with her family and was known as an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Mrs. Buckley-Packer is survived by her three sons and one daughter – James W. Buckley, Jr., and his wife Cheryl, of Burlington; Stephen A. Buckley, and his wife Beth, of Raynham; David E. Buckley of Brockton; and Karen A Stevens-MacNayr, and her husband Glenn MacNayr, of Middleboro. She is also survived by her brother Harold Sullivan of Connecticut and her sister Marge Bragg of Middleboro. Mrs. Buckley-Packer is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 9, from 4 - 7 pm at the Ashley Funeral Home in Middleboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 10, at 9:30 a.m. at the Ashley Funeral Home in Middleboro.

Internment will take place at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
