Jamaica Plain School Bus Crash Sends Bus Driver To Hospital

Only the bus driver was taken to the hospital.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — A school bus driver was taken to the hospital after a car rear ended the bus on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain, according to Boston Police. No children were on the bus at the time of the crash.

"Thankfully, it didn't sound serious," said Officer McNulty of the Boston Police. But it did cause a bit of a traffic back up in the area for a while as police and school officials sorted out a way to get someone with the proper drivers licence to move the bus.

A photo taken from a news chopper shows a bus stopped with a black car stuck under the tail of the bus. While early reports indicated four people were taken to the hospital, police said only the driver of the bus was taken into the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
