Jamaica Plain Man Among Eight Arrested at Protest
Jonathan Lees, 29, was arraigned for disorderly conduct and assault and battery.

Eight people who were arrested at Saturday afternoon’s protest appeared in the Boston Municipal Court on Tuesday.
Seven were charged with disorderly conduct, which Suffolk prosecutors moved to amend to civil infractions rather than criminal complaints. Those seven included three men and four women from 19 to 47 years of age, with one a resident of Boston and the rest residing in Cambridge, Somerville, Ipswich, Maine, New York, and Vermont, a recent press release indicated.
The eighth arrestee is Jonathan Lees from Jamaica Plain. The 29-year-old was arraigned for disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a public employee for allegedly jumping over more peaceful protesters, physically assaulting troopers and trying to physically pull the troopers into the crowd. The troopers instructed him to stop and he was arrested after ignoring them.
