• Souza-Baranowski correction officers indicted for allegedly beating prisoners (masslawyersweekly.com) — State correction officers are facing criminal charges over alleged assaults on shackled prisoners at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, the state’s only maximum-security prison. The indictments follow a 2024 stabbing of officers there and come amid ongoing scrutiny of violence and accountability inside the facility.
