ā¢ North Adams to wave property taxes for parents of fallen veterans (berkshireeagle.com) ā Lanesborough residents may be interested that North Adams has approved a Hero Act property tax abatement for Gold Star parents, similar to a measure Lanesborough voters ultimately adopted after initial rejection. The North Adams policy currently aids one qualifying family and aligns the city with nearby communities like Pittsfield, Cheshire and Lanesborough in expanding support for families of fallen service members.
