• Mass. woman accused of collecting $135K while neglecting husband before his death (masslive.com) — A Lawrence woman has been indicted on manslaughter, elder neglect, and fraud charges after prosecutors say she illegally acted as her husband's personal care attendant and collected over $135,000 from MassHealth. The husband later died at Lawrence General Hospital from infected pressure wounds and severe emaciation. While she is free on bail, strict conditions bar her from caregiving or MassHealth-related work.
