• West Nile virus risk raised in 10 Berkshire communities as state reports sixth human case (berkshireeagle.com) — Lee has just been bumped to a moderate risk level for West Nile virus, meaning state health officials believe human infection is likely or may already have occurred in the area. While no Berkshire County residents have tested positive yet, mosquito samples nearby have, and the state urges Lee households to dump standing water, repair window screens, use repellent, and cover up outdoors, especially at dusk and dawn.
