ā¢ Western Mass. residents urge Healey to intervene in Eversource plan (recorder.com) ā Leverett is one of several Western Massachusetts towns where Eversource plans extensive tree clearing along a major power line corridor, prompting residents to ask Gov. Maura Healey to step in. A regional advocacy group argues the project would amount to clear-cutting through sensitive habitats, while Eversource says itās needed for grid reliability and is based on detailed vegetation risk analysis.
