11th Annual Leadership Summit on ALS

Join Experts, Patients and Caregivers on November 13th as they Discuss Recent Developments in ALS Research. Open to the Public!

ALS is a complex disease and finding treatments and cures requires a close collaboration and transparency between patients, caregivers, families, physicians, research and drug developers. Founded by people living with ALS (PALS) and their families, the ALS Therapy Development Institute created the Leadership Summit as an annual meeting devoted to fostering that collaboration and transparency. This research symposium is designed annually based on topics trending among both the patient and research community.

This year’s event will focus on three topics central to the effort to discover and develop effective treatments and cures for ALS:

1) an in-depth look at the Institute’s research preclinically and clinically, including data from the world’s only active Precision Medicine Program for ALS

2) the effort to determine biomarkers of disease onset and progression aimed at speeding up diagnosis of ALS and clinical trials on potential treatments; and

3) a panel discussion between PALS, biostatisticians and researchers on how clinical trials may be better designed to match the urgent need for treatments today.
