About 120 employees will lose their jobs at Cubist Pharmaceuticals in Lexington in a cost-cutting move.
The Boston Business Journal last week reported the move was made after drug giant Merck purchased Cubist for $9.5 billion last year.
Before the cuts, Cubist had a workforce of about 600 in the state, according to the Boston Globe.
