LEXINGTON, MA—It’s the year of the Monkey in the Chinese New Year Calendar, and “Monkeys” are getting a fresh new start to 2016.

The Chinese New Year began on Feb. 8, and according to ChinaHighlights.com, people born in a “multiple-of-12 year” will be honored in 2016. That does not always equate to good luck, however.

According to Chinese astrology, Monkey years are believed to be unlucky for people born in the year of the Monkey. Regardless, the Chinese New Year is always a good time to pick up some delicious Chinese food and cuddle up with family and friends.
