7 Lexington Schools Listed In Top 100 MA Schools For 2020
The schools made it onto Niche's list of the top 100 schools in the state.
LEXINGTON, MA — Seven Lexington schools made it onto the list of the top 100 schools in Massachusetts. Niche.com released the list that includes both private and public elementary, middle and high schools. Lexington High, Lexington Christian, Maria Hastings Elementary, William Diamond Middle School, Bowman Elementary, Jonas Clark Middle School and Bridge Elementary were all on the list.
Whether a school finished first or 100th, there's not really a bad spot on the list. They all received A+ grades from Niche.
Lexington High School was ranked 22nd and has 2,185 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to state test scores, 98 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 99 percent in reading. Lexington High's graduation rate is 99 percent with an average SAT score of 1370.

Niche also ranked the school highly in the areas of college prep for public high schools in the state, STEM for public high schools in the state and public high schools in the state.
Lexington Christian was ranked 65th and is a private, boarding, Christian school. It has 318 students in grades 6-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 9 to 1. Tuition is $28,100 for the highest grade offered. After graduation, 100 percent of students from the school go on to attend a four-year college.

Niche also ranked the school highly in the areas of Christian high schools in the state, boarding high schools in the state and most diverse high schools in the state.
Maria Hastings Elementary ranked 75th and is a public elementary school in the Lexington School District. It has 455 students in grades K-5 with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. According to state test scores, 82 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 78 percent in reading.

William Diamond Middle School ranked 78th and is a public middle school in the Lexington School District. It has 852 students in grades 6-8 with a student-teacher ratio of 11 to 1. According to state test scores, 88 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 85 percent in reading.

Bowman Elementary School ranked 80th and is a public elementary school in the Lexington School District. It has 567 students in grades K-5 with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. According to state test scores, 76 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 75 percent in reading.
