7/21 Foraging Walk with Russ Cohen

Learn about wild edible and medicinal plants found at Wright-Locke Farm

The summer season is the perfect time of year to learn how to safely and healthfully preserve fruits and vegetables, make homemade herbal products, and forage for wild plants growing throughout the New England region. Wright-Locke Farm will host several adult education programs this July and August exploring these topics through hands-on workshops.

The next program featured is a Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants Walk hosted by published forager Russ Cohen on Tuesday, July 21 from 6 - 8:15pm at the farm (78 Ridge Street, Winchester, MA). Russ will lead the group as participants explore the farm property and adjacent conservation areas for edible and medicinal wild plants commonly found in New England. The workshop will also include an introduction period with foraged foods to sample- a real treat!

Workshop fee is $20 per person (ages 16+). Registration is required, but payment can be made the day of the workshop (exact cash or check only, please). Visit our website to sign up or to see our other adult education workshop offerings!
