Hazy Hot Summers Call for Some Cool Jazz and Blistering Blues
Act III Restaurant not only has the best live music line up around, it also has a delicious new summer menu. Nobody cooks lamb like Act III, but the new menu takes advantage of many of the local farms with dishes based on fresh local produce. The new lunch menu also has a much greater selection of sandwiches. Lunch is served from 11:30 - 2 most week days - closed on Monday. Reservations are highly suggested as seating is limited.
Why not come this Wednesday to hear the cool jazz melodies played by pianist Paul Broadnax and Peter Kontrimas? The music is complimentary with your dinner.
Thursday nights, one can enjoy dinner with seasoned pianist Ted Knowlton. There is no charge for music with dinner - it is Act III’s gift to you for your continued support. Every Thursday, a new Brazilian Jazz Band plays from 8:30 - 10:30. What is Brazilian Jazz, you say? Have a listen. Thursday’s Brazilian offering is Hiro Honshuku and Racha Fora.

Friday night starts with pianist Pamela Hines. From 6 - 8, relax with friends and enjoy the jazz interpretations of Pamela. It is the perfect way to start the weekend! After Pamela, the Charles River Reprobates take over. Playing from 9 - 11 pm, “The Charles River Reprobates are a truly All-Star aggregation playing good time down home roots music that crosses genres from Bluegrass, Country and Gospel to Blues, Soul and Rock ‘n’ Roll.” Tickets are required - call 978-486-3600 for availability.
Saturday, lucky patrons will get to hear the Peter Parcek Trio. “Peter Parcek, Boston blues guitarist, has been blending gypsy jazz, country, folk and the blues into a sound that he calls, ’soul guitar’.” Get your tickets now, as they are sure to sell out early for this show!

As always, Sunday is the jazz jam from 4 - 8 pm. Bring your instrument and join the fun!
If you are not sure about paying the ticket price, you can always hang in the lounge and enjoy the music, but still be able to spend some time talking and catching up with friends you bring along. Where ever you decide to listen to the music, lounge or dining room, it is always good to call and make a reservation. Seating is limited. (978) 486-3600.
Located at 529 King Street, Act III shares the building with Gallery 529. Gallery 529 is an all volunteer organization of over 30 artists. It has painters (pastels, oil, water color and encaustic), potters, soap makers, and fiber arts. Some of the artists hail from Westford and the surrounding communities: Tom Briere and Nancy Arbeene (photographers), and Laurie G. Miller (painter). Littleton artists include Laurie Burns and Bob Kulchuk (potters), Phil St. Germaine (wood turning) Bill Harland and Alyssa Taylor (painters), Cynthia Franzek (beautiful sparkling jewelry) and Blue Hoot Soap. The other local communities represented include Harvard, Groton, Ayer, Townsend, and Pepperell. Stop by and see what your neighbors have been up to! There is no cost to visit the gallery. Free and open to the public - some nights as late as 10 pm!
