The American Camp Association, New England Elects Shannon Donovan-Monti as New Board President

The American Camp Association, New England (ACA New England) is pleased to announce the recent election of Shannon Donovan-Monti as the organization’s new Board President. Donovan-Monti has been involved with the ACA since 1990 as a member and comes to ACA New England with over 26 years of experience in the industry.

“We are excited to have Shannon at the helm of our organization,” says Bette Bussel, Executive Director for ACA New England. “In addition to her proven leadership, strategic thinking and long-range planning expertise, Shannon’s unique camp background and perspective will be a great asset to ACA New England.”

Donovan-Monti concurrently serves as the Executive Director of Chimney Corners Camp which is a part of the Becket- Chimney Corners YMCA in Becket, MA where she has presided for over 20 years. With Donovan-Monti's direction the camp has maintained full occupancy and grown capacity by 28% since her appointment in 1997. Prior to this position, Donovan-Monti was the Family Programs Director at Hartford YMCA’s Camp Jewell in Colebrook, CT.

Donovan-Monti currently resides in Lee, MA.
