With more than 20 dancers and four theater artists, the show uses Indian classical traditions to explore women's voices, injustice, and the cost of silence through the powerful story of Draupadi.
2. Burlington Opens Fall Season With Three Losses to Lexington (burlington.buzz) — Lexington teams opened the fall season strong, with girls' volleyball, field hockey, and boys' soccer all defeating Burlington in their first matchups. Several more games against Lexington are on the schedule this week, including football and cheerleading visiting Burlington and girls' soccer hosting Lexington, giving local fans multiple chances to support their teams.
3. Humanities at Work Spring 2027 Internships (umass.edu) — Students interested in hands-on humanities work will find a range of Spring 2027 internships, including a community-focused role at Lexington Arts and Crafts Society helping design programs and make exhibitions more accessible. Other placements span Boston-area museums, media organizations, and cultural nonprofits, offering Lexington-area students chances to build skills in research, education, communications, and arts administration.
4. 83-year-old Lexington woman pleads guilty to wire fraud in nearly $11 million Ponzi scheme (boston.com) — An 83-year-old Lexington woman has pleaded guilty in federal court to running a long-running Ponzi scheme tied to her West Springfield loan business, affecting more than 200 investors. Prosecutors say she continued soliciting funds even after state regulators intervened, and they plan to seek a four-year prison term plus nearly $11 million in restitution at her January sentencing.
