An Irish Evening of Song, May 16 & 17

On Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17, the Lexington Pops Chorus will present “An Irish Evening of Song”, at 7:30 pm at Hancock Church, 1912 Massachusetts Avenue (on the Green) in Lexington Center.  This special concert begins with lively step dancing children from Lorene Whyte’s School of Irish Step Dance, followed by Canadian composer Mark Brymer’s arousing choral suite, Letters from Ireland, which includes narration of letters from home during the vast emigration in the 1700s and 1800s, and accompanied by Irish instrumentalists.
