Andrey Allakhverdov's First Solo Exhibition In America
Enjoy bold colors and poetical images of warm Armenian landscapes, interesting portraits and abstract compositions by Andrey Allakhverdov

The exhibition will take place at the From Russia With Art Gallery, 580 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA, from October 15 - Novmeber 9, with an Artist Reception on Thursday, October 23, from 5-8pm.
Andrey was born in 1947 into an Armenian family living in Baku. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Moscow State University for Textile and Design and in 1988 became a member of the Union of Soviet Artists. The artist served as an apprentice and later an assistant to the famous Soviet portrait painter, Dmitry Nalbandyan (1906-1993).
Allakhverdov exhibited his paintings many times in the Moscow Exhibition Halls such as: Kuznetsky Most and Manezh, as well as in the iconic Metropol Hotel along with art galleries throughout Russia and abroad. Andrey currently resides in the Boston metropolitan area with his wife. He will exhibit paintings made between 1990-2014 for this show.

Since 2010, From Russia With Art Gallery offers exhibits and diverse cultural programs to the Cambridge and Boston community at large. Armenian-Americans and people of all ethnic backgrounds can enjoy Andrey’s artworks and see how Armenian history and art play a vital part within the rich cultural symphony, which is America.
The Gallery along with Andrey Allakhverdov, will be exhibiting at the 18th Annual Boston International Fine Art Show, at the Cyclorama, Boston Center for the Arts, from November 13-16th. From Russia With Art Gallery is open from Wed-Sun, from 10:30-7pm. The Gallery is walking distance from the Lechmere T Station on the Green Line and Bus #69, from the Harvard Square T Station on the Red Line, goes right past our door.
