Anniversary Concert on May 16: Bach and Grossman
The Master Singers of Lexington present Bach and new works by Adam Grossman, with special guest Frank Powdermaker
As a final celebration of Adam Grossman’s 20th season with us, the chorus presents a program of glorious Bach choral works (Lobet den Herrn and Cantata 196 Der Herr denket an uns) and a performance of Bach’s Violin Concerto in A Minor, with featured guest Frank Powdermaker, violin. The highlight of the concert will be a premiere of Adam Grossman’s new works, Variations on a Theme by Boyce and four choral songs written for this occasion. The performance is at First Parish Church in Lexington, on the Battle Green at 7 Harrington Road, which is fully accessible with ample free parking. Tickets are available in advance or at the door, and discounts are available to GBCC members. A festive reception with refreshments follows the concert.
