Voter Registration

The deadline for registering to vote in the Annual Town Election is Tuesday, February 9 at 8:00 PM.

Vote by Mail

Applying to vote by mail

You must submit a ballot application by Tuesday, February 23 at 5:00 PM, if you wish to vote by mail. Download the ballot application.

The application must be signed. It can be returned by:

  • Depositing it in the Town Clerk's blue box in the Cary Memorial Building circular driveway next to the Town Office Building.
  • Mailing it to:Town Clerk's Office1625 Massachusetts Ave.Lexington, MA 02420
  • Scanning the signed application and emailing it to clerk@lexingtonma.gov

Returning your ballot

Ballots must be received no later than 8:00 PM on Election Day, March 1, 2021.

We usually receive the ballots from the printer the first week in February, and we will start mailing them out then.

Return your ballot as soon as possible by:

  • Depositing it in the Town Clerk's blue box in the Cary Memorial Building circular driveway next to the Town Office Building.
  • Mailing it to:Town Clerk's Office1625 Massachusetts Ave.Lexington, MA 02420
  • You cannot scan and email your ballot

Once we have received your ballot, you may not vote in person.

Vote in Person

The polls (voting locations) will be open Monday, March 1, 2021 from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Precinct 7 Voters! Your polling location has been moved from Estabrook School to Keilty Hall at St. Brigid’s Church, 2001 Mass. Ave. (entrance off Worthen Rd.)

All voters will need to comply with COVID-19 regulations:

  • All voters will be required to wear face coverings
  • All voters will be required to practice social distancing
  • Hand sanitizer is suggested upon entry
  • Voting booths will be 6’ apart; booths and pens will be sanitized throughout the day
  • Voters may have to wait for an available voting booth
  • There will be no check-out table, to minimize time in the voting area
