Deadline to participate: October 20th

The last ArtWalk in the Center was in 2008, and this year’s event will focus on partnering with local banks and real estate firms to host the work of local artists in order to support and enhance the vitality of our town’s center.

The work of the artists will be displayed in banks, real estate firms and other businesses throughout in the town center from November 9-28th. Maps will be available throughout this period at the library and town retail establishments allowing attendees to identify all participating locations.

A special evening Gallery Night will be held Friday, November 13th (which coincides with many Lexington Retailers plans to remain open later in the evening for holiday shopping) with artists on hand to discuss and answer questions about their work.

Interested artists may submit 1 or 2 pieces of “wall art” with appropriate hanging equipment. A template for ID cards will be available, which should include information to purchase directly from you.

Participation Forms are available online at: http://blog.artslexington.org/events/current-events or at the Cary Library. They include all necessary information plus additional ways to participate to make this event a success:

• Curators to select the best spaces for exhibiting the work.

• Sign-in and Hanging the work at various locations on November 7 and 9th.

• Signing out the work at various locations on November 30th.
