Lexington, MA – April 14, 2014 – Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. recently received a $6000 grant from BAE Systems. The funds will be used to provide Adult Day Health services for low-income and elderly veterans in the Lexington area who need additional support. Cooperative Elder Services (CESI) is a non-profit Adult Day Health organization serving 58 communities, with centers located in Arlington, Burlington, Milton, Groton and Concord. CESI provides a welcoming day-time environment for local seniors, with nursing care, nutrition, socialization with peers, therapeutic activities, social services, caregiver support and round-trip transportation offered throughout the week. The mission of CESI is to delay or prevent nursing home placement by promoting health and independence, and enhancing the quality of life for elders living in the community.
