Bicyclist Dies In Collision On Minuteman Bikeway

LEXINGTON, MA — A bicyclist died following a collision on the Minuteman Bikeway in Lexington Sunday afternoon, according to reports. Two cyclists hit each other head-on about a mile from the Arlington town line, Boston.com reported.

The collision happened shortly after 2 p.m. Police told WCVB it was a "freak accident."

Both men were taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, where one later died. The other cyclist remained hospitalized Monday but is expected to survive.

Police have not identified either cyclist.
