BOSTON CHILDREN'S THEATRE AND KEYS FOR KIDS PARTNER TO BRING MUSICAL THEATRE AND DANCE WORKSHOPS TO METROWE

-- Expanded drama and dance offerings to complement established music program. Classes begin September 13- Registration Open Now --

Award-winning Boston Children’s Theatre (BCT) and established music school Keys for Kids are partnering to offer expanded drama and dance programs to the MetroWest area. Designed to complement the school’s extensive music instruction program, the drama and dance workshops will be taught by veteran BCT instructors and will be open to students ages 4 – 15 years old. Classes begin September 13 at Keys for Kids, 1050 Waltham Street, Lexington, MA and registration is now open.

According to BCT Executive Director Toby Schine, the partnership is a perfect fit for both the programs and the families in the area. “Our two arts organizations share a passion for high quality arts experiences for young people, and we both provide first rate training,” said Schine. “We know the challenge of finding high quality arts programs close to home and our partnership with Keys for Kids is the ideal way to bring our popular Boston theater and dance programs to the area. We are very excited about the concept and look forward to developing and growing the program to meet the needs of local families.”

The BCT class offerings will include introductory to intermediate acting and dance workshops, creative drama, Broadway scene and song study, and musical theater performance. Classes will be held weekly from September through June.
