Lexington Symphony presents its second annual Concert in the Round!

Join the Lexington Symphony on Saturday, June 2 for an informal summer Concert in the Round. An informal Q&A with Maestro Jonathan McPhee and musicians will take place at 6pm. Concert begins at 7pm.

Lexington Symphony and Music Director Jonathan McPhee present a concert of works 'in the round' on June 2 at 7 p.m. in . The performance is preceded by a question and answer session with Maestro McPhee and orchestra musicians at 6 p.m., and followed by a reception where musicians and patrons can meet and mingle while enjoying refreshments.

Concertgoers can experience Lexington Symphony in a whole new way at this summer evening concert. With the orchestra placed in the middle of Cary Hall, the program is designed to foster intimacy between the orchestra and the audience. More informal than the usual symphony orchestra concert, this event will allow interactions between the audience and the musicians as well as a chance to hear some great music.

As the Lexington Minuteman wrote of last season’s inaugural Concert in the Round, “In this special program of music chosen by the musicians themselves, concertgoers had the opportunity to ask questions through out the entire evening and even change their seat between pieces to gain a new perspective as both audience member and musician.”
